What a pleasure to interview Reinette!
Here's her bio:
A wanderer at heart, Reinette took to the extreme cold as a young woman, climbing mountains and organizing an all-women’s trans-Antarctic expedition. This ultimately led her in 1994 to become the first woman to cross Alaska, alone, in the dead of winter while filming this for National Geographic. An adventuring storyteller; filmmaker; writer; community activist; former city council member & mayor, Reinette is a curator of innovative ideas and loves getting her hands dirty.
Reinette believes in building a better world through community development, particularly around local and sustainable food.
